![]() ![]() According to the site, they are working on X11 forwarding and an Android client. Note that Mosh doesn’t support some advanced SSh features, like X11 connections, yet. See the FAQ on the Mosh site about UTF-8 support. In some limited cases, you might run into problems with Mosh because it only supports UTF-8. It’s generally not recommended to install binaries on a system that you’re not administering without the knowledge of the admin. Note that it’s probably a good idea to at least mention to your admin that you’ll be uploading Mosh and using it from your home directory. Mosh -server=/home/user/bin/mosh-server servername If that’s the case, you’ll need to specify the path to the Mosh server on the command line, like so: Instead of typing ssh servername ssh you just type mosh servername or mosh In other words, the syntax is the same as if you’d used SSH.Īs mentioned above, you may need to install the mosh-server binary yourself if your admin doesn’t want to install the Mosh package. You might think that Mosh would be difficult to use. You’ll need to enable backports or a Personal Package Archive (PPA), but once that’s done it’s a simple as sudo apt-get install mosh. It took, maybe, five minutes to get everything installed. I’ve been testing Mosh on a Linux Mint box connecting to an Ubuntu 10.04 system. If you don’t have admin privileges over a server you need to connect to, and you can’t convince the admin you need Mosh, you’re stuck with SSH – or installing the Mosh binary in your home directory. This is the primary downside for Mosh over SSH at the moment. You need to install Mosh on the client and server that you’re going to be using. If Mosh becomes more popular, though, I suspect someone will take the charge in creating a Windows client as well. Sorry Windows users! You don’t get the cool tools like the rest of the *nix using folks. It doesn’t look like there’s a Mosh package or installer for Windows, though. If all of that doesn’t help, Mosh is open source (GPLv3 or later) and you can grab the source and compile on your own. If you look at the Mosh Website you’ll see that the project is packaged for Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, and even Mac OS X. Mosh actually uses SSH to make the connection, but then hands off to the remote mosh-server and runs over UDP. When I say that Mosh is a “replacement” for SSH, that’s sort of an exaggeration, though. Mosh is a terminal application that supports roaming, intermittent connectivity, and gets rid of the wait for a server reply when showing you your keystrokes. It’d be better if you had a tool that could handle network problems and modern day computer usage with aplomb. Lots of us, for instance, use GNU Screen or Tmux to ensure that we can keep a shell session going if we need to drop our connection.īut that’s, well, kludgey. ![]() Some tools already provide a kludgey way around dropped connections and workers who need mobility. If you need a persistent connection, take a look at Mosh. When dealing with iffy Wi-Fi connections, moving around from coffeeshop to home office, or just putting your laptop to sleep for a few minutes, you lose your SSH connection. SSH is a wonderful thing, but it doesn’t deal very well with today’s mobile workers. ![]() ![]() That’s a great feature that the PS2 doesn’t have, and it will help users get better with many games, even making them more creative when creating interesting things in each game. The Spectre’s display measured an average of 339 nits on our light meter. The MacBook Pro measured 78.3% and the XPS 13 2-in-1 covered 70%. The next best was the ZenBook Flip S, also with an OLED display, at 113.1%. The OLED screen covers 139.7% of the DCI-P3 color gamut (the non-OLED, 1920 x 1280 screen covered 74.6%). Our main review configuration was an OLED model with a 3,000 x 2,000 resolution. It's a big improvement over 16:9 displays, and makes for a more natural shape as a tablet, as it's similar in shape to a piece of paper. You'll see more text, code, spreadsheet cells or whatever else you're working on because the screen is taller. It's an opulent amount of space, especially for doing work. It was fairly consistent in the low 4,000's, though there were some peaks up to around 4,300. To stress the Spectre, we ran it through 20 runs of Cinebench R23. While this was four minutes faster than the ZenBook, the XPS 13 2-in-1 was speedier and the MacBook Pro led the whole pack, even while emulating x86 instructions. In our Handbrake test, which transcodes a 4K video to 1080p, the Spectre x360 14 finished the task in 18 minutes and 5 seconds. The Spectre transferred 25GB of files at a rate of 533.61 MBps, faster than the XPS 13 2-in-1, but slower than the ZenBook Flip S (979.37 MBps). The MacBook Pro, too, had a higher multi-core score when emulated through Rosetta 2 to run the same version of the test (5,925). The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 had a higher score in multi-core performance (5,639). The ZenBook Flip S was in a similar range. ![]() On the Geekbench 5 overall performance benchmark, the Spectre earned a single-core score of 1,462 and a multi-core score of 4,904. Mining the outcrop ore at the Bonanza Mine was done by open pit. Lower-grade ore was sent to the mill for processing. This high-grade ore was shipped directly to the smelter without processing and averaged 50-55% copper. In some parts of the orebodies, large masses of pure chalcocite were mined. The ore contained an important silver byproduct. Smaller amounts of enargite, bornite, chalcopyrite, and native copper were also found. The principal ore mineral was chalcocite, along with malachite, azurite, and covellite. It is an understatement to say that the Kennecott ore was fabulously rich. It became part of the Kennecott operations in 1919. The Mother Lode Mine was located on the other side of the ridge and operated by the Mother Lode Coalition Mines Company. The Jumbo Mine started in 1913, the Glacier about the same time, and the Erie Mine in 1916. First production at the Bonanza mine began in 1911. From there the Alaska Steamship Company transported the ore to a smelter in Tacoma, Washington. The railroad provided access to the port of Cordova. The Kennecott Copper Corporation consolidated many of the claims in the area in 1905 however, it would take the construction of the 196-mile-long Copper River and Northwestern Railway to enable routine production to start. The management for hypovolemic shock (reduced blood volume) resulting from postpartum hemorrhage includes: A collaborative effort by the health care team is necessary to provide prompt care. As the blood loss continues, blood flow to the brain decreases and the woman becomes restless, confused, anxious, and lethargic. A decrease in blood volume causes the woman’s skin and mucous membranes to become pale, cold, and moist (clammy). These reactions increase the oxygen content of circulating erythrocytes (red blood cells). The body responds to hypovolemia (reduced blood volume) with increased heart and respiratory rates. Women at greatest risk for postpartum hemorrhage include those who have labor induction or augmentation, multiple fetuses (twins, etc.), macrosomia, preeclampsia, operative deliveries, and chorioamnionitis. Coagulation defects and infection can also result in postpartum hemorrhage (Rice-Simpson, 2010). Late postpartum hemorrhage (secondary postpartum hemorrhage) is caused by retained placental fragments or subinvolution. The most common causes of early postpartum hemorrhage are uterine atony and laceration. Many problems can occur during the postpartum period, but most problems fall into the following five categories: Before discharge, the nurse teaches preventive measures to avoid common postpartum complications. Consequently, hospital-based nurses are challenged to perform a risk assessment and attempt to recognize subtle signs of complications that may require a delay in discharge. Women are often discharged after childbirth before clinical signs of puerperal infection and other postpartum disorders are evident.
