Check for small letters "ST" in the bottom left corner. Non-Streaming launcher - Log into the launcher but don't click Play. If that doesn't work, you can also try running a repair: The download process should now start properly. When computer has restarted, run the launcher and log in. Close the Services window, the task manager, and the game launcher. On the General tab, about halfway down, there should be a dropdown menu that says Startup type. Right click on it and select properties.Ħ. In the Services window, sort the list by the Name column, and look for BitRaider Mini-Support Service. In 8.1, click the link at the bottom that says Open Services.ĥ. In Windows 7, click on the button in the lower right corner that says Services. In Windows 8.1, scroll down to the Background Processes and look for any Bitraider listings. On Windows 7, sort by image name and look for any starting with "br", they should be listed as belonging to Bitraider in the description column. Open the task manager on your computer (shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+Esc).ģ. Once you have the launcher installed, remove any old icons first then go into the swtor directory and place the launcher.exe icon back on your screen and run that from there.Ģ. Do this at your own risk though as it can also cause more problems than fixes.Make sure swtor.exe and launcher.exe are in your anti-virus / firewall safe list.Īfter that if its still not working one weird thing that someone had happen was that after they unistalled swtor, they would reinstall but the icon on their windows screen was the old icon from before it was uninstalled. If this is your problem then hopefully doing the above helped by clearing the router cache and a few other thing in the reboot, It might be worth it to look into aftermarket firmware for your router if your router is compatible. Unfortunately due to the large number of packets being sent with P2P a chunk or 2 can be corrupted by these algorithms. Most manufacture firmware is not optimized for P2P traffic and it uses algorithms to shape/streamline traffic. Try and make sure no DMZ or such is on the router. Reboot your router (better to power cycle, unplug for a minute or two). It's good to exit utorrent also during this time. Make sure there are no red piece(s) in the status bar(s).) If chunks unavailable, If chunks unavailable well your out of luck unless someone reseeds. In the torrent info area click on the 'files' tab. If yes, then congrats If the issue still remains, please try Fix 2, below. 3) Once completed, click to run Dauntless, then check if it plays properly. Check to see if you have a bunch of failed hash checks. 2) On the right pane, locate Dauntless, then click the three dots icon next to Dauntless and click VERIFY. Here's what I would do to try and get that last percent (or fraction of a percent) finished. I find that most of the time if you are getting "stuck" chunks then it is often a problem with a router or firewall.
